Sunday Oliseh

Former international Sunday Oliseh has faulted the recruitment process for the appointment of a new Super Eagles head coach.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) are currently looking to fill the vacant position.

Oliseh argued that there was no need for the NFF to advertise the position.

The former midfielder, who revealed he did not apply for the post said so many things are wrong with the recruitment process for the Super Eagles job.

“Let’s look at it this way, when Jurgen Klopp came out last month to announce that he was leaving his position as coach of Liverpool, did you hear or read anywhere that the club announced that coaches should apply for the job?,” he told The Punch.

“The only thing they (Liverpool) are doing currently is that they are in search of a coach that fits their philosophy and style.

“If we (Nigeria) cannot offer our indigenous coaches opportunities to help the country’s football, then who else will?”

He said that as such he did not apply for his former post.

“I did not apply for the Eagles job, reports that stated so are false,” he stated. READ ALSO:
