Former Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh will work alongside former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger and ex-Germany striker Jurgen Klinnsman on the 2022 World Cup study group.
Oliseh said he is “extremely honoured” by this appointment and looks forward to the work.
“Extremely honoured to have been appointed by FIFA as a Technical Expert for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
“In privileged company of “Sir” Arsene Wenger, Jurgen Klinnsman and 3 others. Work started last night .
Qatar 2022 is looking great and ready,” reads a tweet on his Twitter handle.
The group will analyse all the 32 finalists at Qatar 2022 as well as note emerging coaching trends and formations.
As a player, Oliseh featured at the 1994 and 1998 World Cups, where Nigeria reached the second round on both occasions.
Former Super Eagles assistant coach Emmanuel Amuneke was on the FIFA Study Group for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
