Finidi George has been unveiled as new head coach of Nigeria Premier Football League side, Rivers United.
Finidi was unveiled by Rivers United’s General Manager, Okey Kpalukwu at the club’s secretariat in Port Harcourt on Wednesday.
PNO Sports reports that the 54-year-old takes charge from long-serving tactician Stanley Eguma.
Eguma was sacked by the Pride of Rivers towards the end of last season due to poor results.
Rivers United finished in disappointing eighth position in the NPFL last season.
Finidi previously managed Enyimba in the NPFL.
The former Ajax winger guided the Aba giants to their ninth NPFL title two seasons ago. READ ALSO:
