Nigeria’s ministry of youth and sports development has set up an Interim Management Committee (IMC) that will manage the affairs of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), reports Pnosports.com.

The IMC will replace the League Management Committee (LMC) which was recently declared illegal by Sunday Dare-led ministry.

The license of the LMC was also withdrawn following the directive from the ministry.

Former director general in the ministry, Gbenga Elegbeleye will serve as the chairman of the constituted body, while veteran journalist and football administrator, Paul Bassey is named vice-chairman.

Erstwhile Enugu Rangers striker, Davidson Owumi is the head of operations, with Olumide Bamiduro named secretary.

  2. Paul Bassey – Vice Chairman
  3. Davidson Owumi – Head of Operations
  4. Kunle Soname
