Bendel Insurance FC of Benin on Friday consolidated their promotion aspiration to the Nigerian Football Premier League (NFPL) with a home victory over Vandrezzer FC of Lagos.
Insurance pipped their visitors 1-0 in the week 22 match of the Nigerian National League (NNL) to end their campaign at the second tier league on a good note.
Benjamin Tanimu scored the only goal in the 45 minute of the play via a spot kick, after his teammate was brought down in the 18 yard box.
Several efforts to double the lead were denied by the resilient Lagos team.
