Lorient manager Régis Le Bris is convinced Terem Moffi’s quality has set him on the path to become one of Europe’s most feared strikers.

The Nigerian striker, who opened his Super Eagles goals account in the 2-1 loss to Algeria penultimate weekend, has scored six goals in his last six games for Lorient this season but failed to find the net last weekend in their 2-1 win against Lille.

“I have great faith in Terem,” Le Bris said after the win against Lille.

“We talked about things a lot. Forwards can go through barren spells, just like goalkeepers can have a dip in form.

“Finishing becomes harder. But they can still help the team in other ways… and Terem has been helping us in a lot of different areas since the start of the season.

“He’s a player who can play in the biggest leagues. He still has quite a few things he needs to work on, but just like any young player, he has lots of potential.”
