Everton manager Frank Lampard has showered encomium on Alex Iwobi after the Nigerian impressed once again in Saturday’s 1-1 hone draw against Nottingham Forest, reports Pnosports.com.
Iwobi has been one of the standout performers for the Toffees this summer.
The Merseysiders are yet to record a win in the Premier League this season but the Nigerian has thrived in his number 10 position.
It was also a special occasion for Iwobi, who made his 100th appearance for Everton.
“I thought Alex Iwobi was fantastic. Receiving it, controlling it and breaking through lines and passing well,” Lampard told Everton’s official website.
“The movements of the back three and the angles of trying to play through, especially in the early parts of the game, were really good.
Iwobi could have won it for Everton in stoppage time but his effort narrowly went over the crossbar.”
The 26-year-old joined Everton from Arsenal in August 2019.
