Flamingos captain, Avine Dah- Zozzu says the team is battle ready for their opening game at the 2022 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup against Germany, reports PNO Sports.
The Nigerian girls will face Germany, who are one of the tournament favourites in Goa on Tuesday night.
The game will kick-off at 8pm Nigeria time.
“Germany is a good side. We don’t have issues with exposure because we played in the qualifiers, so we are exposed,” Dah-Zozzu said during her interaction with the media on Monday.
“We respect Germany off-field but on the field, we are the same, so we will give a good fight”, she said.
The Flamingos were unbeaten in the qualifiers and registered 15 goals.
Bankole Olowookere’s girls spent 10 days in Koceli, Turkey to prepare for the competition.
They will also come up against Chile and New Zealand in their group.
