Bayelsa Queens head coach Domo Okara can’t hide his excitement after his team booked a place in the semi-final at the ongoing CAF Women’s Champions League.

The Prosperity Girls started the competition on a losing note, going down to a 2-1 defeat against holders, Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa.

The Nigerian champions however fought back, recording back-to-back victories against TP Mazembe and Wadi Degla.

“I am happy, really happy with my team,”  Okara told CAFonline.com.

“Although we controlled the game with this goal in the first half, I was not satisfied with the level of play of the girls. They fell easy. I wanted them to go all the way.”

Bayelsa Queens will now battle hosts AS FAR for a place in the final on Wednesday at the Stade Prince Moulay Abdallah, Rabat.
