Management of Plateau United Football Club of Jos has assured Nigerians of a decent outing against Esperance of Tunisia in the first leg, second round fixtures of the CAF Champions League slated for the MKO Abiola National Stadium on Sunday.
General Manager of the Club, Pius Henwan stated while speaking with the team’s media disclosed that everything needed to ensure victory in the encounter has been provided.
He explained that the Plateau State governor, Simon Lalong is giving his full support to the team through the prompt release of funds to ensure that the team is well motivated ahead of the titanic match.
“Esperance of Tunisia is a club with a rich history in the competition after winning the trophy several times,” Henwan said.
“But we are not intimidated by their records. We want to write our history by winning this match to qualify for the group stage of the competition,” Kwara United GM enthused.
Having failed to reach the group stage of the competition on two previous occasions, Henwan expressed confidence that his team will cross the hurdle this time around.
To ensure the realization of that objective, the management of the club has thrown the gates of the MKO Abiola Stadium open to allow fans to cheer the team to victory.
The winner of the match over two legs will scale through to the lucrative group stage of the competition.
The kick-off time for the match is 4:00 pm.
