Algeria Football Federation President Zefizef Djahid has revealed that his country will submit a bid to host the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

Guinea was initially revealed as the country that earned the hosting rights of the competition after winning the most votes.

However, the country has been going through tough times politically, which might have had a negative effect on their infrastructure & facilities progress.

As a result, the CAF has decided to strip Guinea of the rights to host the 2025 AFCON finals due to the country’s lack of quality infrastructure and facilities to host the competition.

Just hours later, news broke from Algeria that they will be submitting a bid to host the tournament and Zefizef Djahid is confident in his country’s potential.

“Algeria has all the capabilities to host the 2025 African Cup of Nations,” Djahid, reports Kingfut.com.

It’s worth noting that Morocco are reportedly planning a bid to get the hosting rights alongside Nigeria, who are plotting a joint bid with Benin.
