Super Eagles defender, Ola Aina is set to sign a new two-year contact with Serie A club, Torino, reports PNO Sports.
Aina was close to leaving the Turin club this summer after losing his place in the second half of last season following his engagement with Nigeria at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
The 25-year-old has however enjoyed a solid start to the 2022/23 campaign, featuring in 10 league games for Ivan Juric’s side.
According to Les Transferts, Torino have made positive progress in their discussions with the versatile defender.
An announcement is expected to made soon on the contract extension.
Aina was set to become a free agent next summer but he will now extend his stay at the Stadio Olimpico until 2025.
He joined Torino initially on loan in 2018, before the Serie A club made the move permanent the following season.
