The Super Eagles will begin preparations for their dead rubber 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sao Tome and Principe next week Monday, September 4.

The team’s camp is expected to open same day in Uyo the capital of Akwa Ibom State.

The three-time African champions will file out against their fellow West Africans on Sunday, September 9.

PNO SPORTS reports that the encounter is billed for the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo.

The Super Eagles secured a spot at the 2023 AFCON after edging past the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone 3-2 in June.

Sierra Leone and Guinea-Bissau are in contention for  second spot in the group.

Cote d’Ivoire will host the 2023 AFCON from January 13 to February 11, 2024.
